Hi, The name this end is William A. Batey or Bill as everyone calls me. Callsigns G0DEO / 9H1IA / 9H1BBS / 8P9HY (System Operator)
I am the owner and operator of the VHF and UHF repeater system that went into operation on the 1st January 2006. Both repeaters are operated under my 9H1BBS licence and identify themselves every 15 minutes in CW at 18WPM as follows:-
9H1BBS RV6 - DE 9H1BBS Repeater VHF Ch 6
9H1BBS RU7 - DE 9H1BBS Repeater UHF Ch 7
The VHF repeater requires a 77Hz CTCSS sub-audiable tone for access and has a short 1 second tail.
The VHF Repeater (9H1BBS RV6) is operational as follows:-
CTCSS - 77Hz
Toneburst - None Required
Channel - 25Khz
Output - 145.7500Mhz
Input - 145.1500Mhz
Power - 18 Watts / 12.55dbW
Repeater Unit - Kenwood TKR-750 K2
Cavities - Telewave
Antenna - Diamond X50N Omnidirectional
Locator - JM75ev
Town - Mtarfa on the Island of Malta
Antenna Altitude ASL - 145 Meters / 475 Feet
Antenna Altitude AGL - 22 Meters / 72 Feet

Both Repeaters are internet linked on a 24/7 basis using two dedicated EchoLink systems.
The VHF Repeater EchoLink number is 5661 9H1BBS-R
The UHF Repeater EchoLink number is 278185 9H1RA-R
Both Repeaters are remote controlled from my home QTH at Mosta over a dedicated LOS (Line Of Sight) link, as are the automatic announce system and weather reporting system.
The Repeater systems and the VHF 9H1BBS-R 5661 EchoLink node are looked after by Mark Vella 9H1GP (Assistant System Operator).
While the UHF 9H1RA-R 278185 EchoLink node is provided and operated by Ray Abela 9H1RA.
The UHF repeater will be off air for 5 days during August 2008 for repair.
